Exploring Healthcare Careers at the 2026 Teen Summit RVA

On March 14th, 2026 we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Teen Summit RVA, an event dedicated to empowering youth and showcasing various career paths. Our organization led three informative sessions focused on healthcare careers, aiming to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future endeavors. This event provided a unique platform for engagement and exploration of the diverse opportunities available in the healthcare sector.
During the summit, we held interactive sessions designed to enlighten students about different healthcare careers. Our presentations covered key areas, including the required education paths, daily responsibilities, and the essential skills that align with various roles in the industry. Topics ranged from nursing and physician roles to emerging fields such as telehealth and healthcare technology. By providing a comprehensive overview, we aimed not only to inform but also to inspire young minds to consider a future in healthcare.
In addition to leading sessions, we also participated in the vendor fair, where we had the chance to interact directly with attendees. Our team engaged with students through discussions about pathways into healthcare, innovative job roles, and the evolving nature of the industry. Furthermore, we utilized this opportunity to promote our competition, which sparked significant interest among attendees. Our efforts culminated in an impressive 90 signups within just one day, a testament to the enthusiasm surrounding healthcare careers.
The 2026 Teen Summit RVA was an exceptional experience that highlighted the importance of early career exploration for students. By leading sessions and engaging with youths at the vendor fair, we were able to make a lasting impact and ignite interest in healthcare careers. As we reflect on the events of the summit, we look forward to future opportunities to guide the next generation of healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed
